There were 47.3 million sheep and lambs as well as 17 million goats and goat kids in Iran's livestock farms as of the Iranian month ending June 20, registering an increase of 0.1% in the number of former but a decline of 2.9% in the latter compared with the same period of last year, the Statistical Center of Iran reported. 

A total of 4.8 million lambs and 2.5 million goat kids were born during the first quarter of the current year (March 20-June 20), registering a 51.4% and 14.7% decline compared with the previous quarter.
